I think I finally get the Evora

If we postulate that

Elise S1 = 7
Elise S2 = Elan
Europa S = Elan SE
then
Evora = Elan +2

and suddenly it makes more sense to me...

the only downside is that the new Esprit = Europa (not that there's anything wrong with a proper Europa it's just not what people will be expecting from the new Esprit)

I think there's some design cues from the +2 in there too; the dome shaped roof of the Evora apes the original, I even photoshopped a pic of the white demo car with a silver roof and it looked great! (IMHO)

Now that would be an interesting photo to see - esp. if you could do the body in a dark blue and then sit it alongside a similar +2 for comparison.
