Evora 410GT Extended Seat Rails?
Discussion
Managed to talk the wife into an Evora as a daily. She loves it but being 5' and change the seat to pedal distance is further than she'd like for driving in traffic etc.
Been to dealer today and apparently the seat rails can't go further forward like the forums would suggest.
Anyone know of any extended rails or other solutions that might work?
Thanks.

Pedal extensions are looking like the answer so far...

Those pedal extensions look like they are meant to be fitted permanently, not just flipped over for when required. Surely that would be a huge PITA for swapping drivers.
Sounds like there is a significant shortcoming (excuse the pun) in Lotus' human factor /ergonomics design methods !!
I am 5'4", just, and probably starting to shrink a little given my age. Just picked up my new GT410 a couple of weeks ago without any test drive due to restrictions. When I sat in the car the pedals felt just at the very limit of usable. The salesperson suggested that i would be fine "on the move".
It is just ok for me but I find myself closer to the wheel than would normally sit and as a result the wing mirror really blocks the view right at junctions.
Would be nice to find a simple and easy solution as my wife is taller and will use the car.

Here's the perfect solution for just £22.39 and much simpler than seat rail extensions which would probably risk your OH getting blown to bits by the airbag in an accident,

Well ultimately it's her daily driver, and I am normally in my Dogbus, plus I have the Elise for Lotusey goodness. That said, I'm only 5'9" anyway, so I reckon I could just move the seat back a whisker and get away with it - they're only 90mm (3.5", give or take) and by the look of them there's some adjustability. Once I've seen one and checked how they attach/operate/prevent failure, I could likely fabricate better ones for our situation myself.

I already have a set of those for weekends. We can't be seen wearing the same shoes! https://www.wish.com/product/5cdf94cd60efd41520757...
Hi, I have an Evora S and my wife can't reach the pedals. She is 5' but would like to drive the car.
Last winter considered engineering a new set of ultra low profile and extended seat runners. I haven't looked at the 400 but we reckoned we could lower the S seat by maybe 10 mm and extend several inches. My Dad is a chartered engineer and can do the stress analysis for longer rails using the standard mounts. We hope we can buy standard lower profile rail components and possibly mate with a modified seat subframe. Whilst these are marginal height alterations the extended travel would be welcome for many.
If there is enough interest we good have another look. Let me know,
Alistair

On looking last night, it seems that the replacement seat brackets I have for my 410sport move the seat forward by a good 2 or 3 inches as well as canting the seat back. So that will probably sort it out for me.

Where did you get these from? Bert
Got some pedal extensions but would much prefer this.
