Evora cosmetic issues
Discussion
I’m wondering whether anyone else has had the same corrosion issues as me on my Evora NA MY2012. The front and side grills have corroded and the hubs have rusted. Also, the lacquer on one of the lights has gone. Photos below. Does anybody have any good suggestion about how to resolve these issues. I love the car and would like to sort the cosmetic issues out. Mechanically it has been fantastic.
Thanks for all of your advice. Lotus Silverstone are sorting out the issues and have been very efficient so far. However, it may have been expensive going there, since they have an Evora 410 I quite like the look of. Has anybody got any experience living with one of those? Any comparison to a Sports Racer NA would be really helpful.

Be careful Aimee is a very dangerous lady. When I take my car into Silverstone for servicing I wear a blindfold and ear defenders in order to avoid leaving with a new car Have you driven it yet? I drove an S1 Evora and concluded I'd never buy one - didn't feel fast enough basically, particularly on a relatively short test drive. However, I've a kind and generous friend who let me drive his 400 a few times, which made me decide that I had to have one of my own (it's a practical daily driver) and so I got a lightly used Hethel Edition a few months ago having got rid of a V6 and a Fiesta ST to do so. He even let me drive it at Silverstone and back to back with my Exige round Spa, where I concluded that the compromises of the V6 were not sufficiently made up for on track compared to the 400. So ... yeah. Just do it. No regrets from my perspective.
However, I don't get on with the seats in the 410 at all, but the sparcos are great in the 400. You should make sure you drive it for a decent distance as the 410 seats are too upright IMO. I wouldn't otherwise put you off the green and gold one if that's the one you are looking at - I think I've had a passenger ride in it and it's very nice indeed apart from the seats (although I think you can modify these with Jon Seal runners). I need a +2 for wife reasons but if that's not a concern.
Have a look on TLF for more info.

I used this https://www.google.co.uk/shopping/product/89491265... it gave reasonable finish but I guess once treated you could then paint it
