Lotus Evora 2+0
Discussion
Can you do it the wother way, ie remove the back seats from a 2+2 and retrofit the parcel shelf etc?
At the moment I only use my back seat for a small suitcase (that is millimetres too big for the boot), and the odd tyre etc. Not for people as school run with more than one passenger is no more.
I figured installing the shelf would be better than putting things on the leather.

I assume the same on the earlier cars, but in my 400 the seat base is just velcro'd in, takes about 30 seconds to remove. The back padding is clipped and velcro'd I think, not 100% sure as haven't taken that out yet.For me, being a 2+2 was a large part of why I bought an Evora. Buying a 2+0 and converting to 2+2 isn't simple though, fitting the attachments for the seat belts is non-trivial and insurance for a factory 2+0 as a 4-seater may be an issue too.

As a 2+0 owner it's a waste of time. Even a 2+2 for me is a waste of time as no fker is getting in the back of that unless they're 6 years old.
Took my daughter and her friend to school prom in mine, so I know 16 year olds fit in the back, although to be fair Izzy is quite small. blueg33 said:

It should be pretty straight forward. As has already been said, the seats are very easy to take out. (On your car, the seat base is attached by velcro. Remove that then slide up/unclip the two headrests. Then remove the 2 bolts and the seat back will come out). Putting the parcel shelf back in should be very straightforward, I imagine. However, I’ve never bothered to look at one close up so I don’t know how (or where) the netting is attached to.

I've gone a couple miles up the road in the back of mine, wife isn't tall and I'm under 6ft so could squeeze in behind her. Wouldn't want to go any distance like that, but for getting a couple of us back from the pub it sufficed. Had the dog in the back and clipped in to the seatbelt harness yesterday for the drive down to Cornwall, he was happy enough resting his head and looking out between the seats.

Thank guys still confused. Is the back shelf on the 2+0 the same depth as the seat base on a 2+2.
It only need to be big enough for a medium size dog so no seat belts required
Pretty much.It only need to be big enough for a medium size dog so no seat belts required
Dog was happy as Larry in ours at the weekend, his bed is quite soft so squished it in behind the seats and he'd sit down looking through the gap.
2.0 shelf is very good, i have a alu bar and netting about 150mm high at the leading edge ... its oem.my two cockers behind no probs.. when i looked for an evora i thought the rear seats small , i tried to sit in one... couldnt even fit it unless my nexk was bent 90 degrees, the person in front would be squished against the dash too...!.. yes it would transport 4 back from the pub for a laugh, a big laugh at that....
