£110 cup holder!. I would rather keep both hands on the wheel.
Mine has it (I wouldn't have specced it, but bought an unregistered car from stock and it had it). Came in very handy on the drive home for a bottle of water and ibuprofen as I'd buggered my back up a couple days before.smcsales said:

As for the cup holder.....I didn't tick that box, but in the Evora it's probably quite a useful item as there isn't too much in the way of internal storage for drink bottles etc.
I paid £72k for Evora Hethel edition (so fully loaded) just over 18 months ago. I had the bright idea of changing it for an IPS recently...doing much more town and traffic type driving...and was initially quoted £82k or thereabouts (!!) but this soon came down to £75k...still a bit of a surprise but given the passage of time etc. I did not do it because I was asked to make too much of a hit on my car...and besides, there is nothing wrong with it...infact it is brilliant.
Long and short, do not pay too much attention to the headline figures...

fking hell, these are a bit pricey now aren't they? Are they worth it?
Really like my Evora 400, although I was originally planning on a factory order but ended up buying a delivery mileage, unregistered, car from Hofmanns as it was just too big a saving to pass up.Are they worth it is a good question?
Clearly you can get an awful lot of motor car (mass produced with all the scales of production efficiency that brings) from mainstream manufacturers for the money, with all the bells and whistles and with superb fit and finish etc etc. On the simple face of it, no they are not worth anything like £70-80k.
However, when compared to similar cars they get fantastic write ups, even with a few shortcomings, and against these cars they are price competitive...and don`t tell me a Cayman/911 can be bought for XYZ, because they can`t unless you don`t want carpets etc in the car. One of the well known US YouTube road testers, who is normally very unbiased and straight talking said the 410 was the best sub $200k sports car you could buy right now...with a Cayman GT4 sat in the background.
We all have different tastes and what appeals to one person will not to another, so you pays your money and takes your choice. For me nothing I have driven has the same combination of balance and feel as a Lotus...and I have driven quite a range of tasty cars, some of which have been very disappointing on the above, although far better in other ways.

Firstly let me say as a Lotus fan I have felt Lotus have lost their way until recently. Being in the market for a new (or secondhand) car I thought I really ought to try an Evora, if only to cross it off the list.Clearly you can get an awful lot of motor car (mass produced with all the scales of production efficiency that brings) from mainstream manufacturers for the money, with all the bells and whistles and with superb fit and finish etc etc. On the simple face of it, no they are not worth anything like £70-80k.

Tried a 410 today - and, to my surprise - my Porsche Cayman 981S (and a 991.2 I tried recently) both felt pretty dull by comparison. I'd probably prefer (and I'm sure the wife would) the 400 but the 410 was VERY engaging, if perhaps too nervous for me down a bumpy and cambered county lane.
