Gap in Evoras for sale
Discussion
Looking at the Evora as an option for my next car and would be looking at 20142015 cars. But it has brought to my attention a "gap" in Evoras for sale. Between 2011 and 2014 there don't seem to be any second hand cars available. Is this due to a Production gap or just Evora owners are not ready to change??
I decided I wanted a 13/14 Sports Racer and it took me 5months before a "mik spec" car turned up. Only realised after purchase that there were only 53 Manual Spirts Racers sold. And of course I wasn't interested in some of the colour combos.
If you have something in mind - something will appear if you are patient. Well worth the wait IMHO - epic vehicles.

What the guys said is true, production really dropped off due to lack of sales 11-14.
So the second hand market is smaller for that period.
Also for 2020-2011, there are lots of cars that were built and registered as company cars, often with AU10/AU60/AU11 plates as that was a good way to get the cars out on the road.

I don't know if definitive numbers are public but I've heard figures like "around two thousand" for ALL Evora S1 production
I had misunderstood the data in my post. It looks like a total of 1669 Evoras of any description have been registered in the UK. I guess there haven't been many exports. There really are less around than I had realised.

Your numbers are way off. 1669 is closer to the total number of Evoras ever built. On the 'how many left' site, search for Lotus Evora. (This will obviously give you the numbers for all variants of Evora. Bizarrely, there are some vaguely strange classifications i.e. V2). Ignore the 400 numbers and then sum the remaining stats for 2016. This will give you a figure of 533 Evoras registered in the UK.
Incidentally, 84 400s have been registered so far. Plenty of those will still be dealer stock though.

Yep, I was summing values that were already totals.... I guess that answers your original question though. The all models filter totals up up to 869 which isn't many cars at all. Is no wonder I struggled to find one. On the 'how many left' site, search for Lotus Evora. (This will obviously give you the numbers for all variants of Evora.
