Hi all

6 months in and v pleased with the Evora

A couple of annoying niggles that you might all say are common faults ?

V bad condensation inside the windscreen ?

Condensation in the headlamps ?

Other than that running v nicely and looking forward to the Spring.

Still need advice on the best exhaust upgrade also ?

Happy New Year

Can't help with the windscreen, but in current weather even my merc is suffering a bit if it's not used for a while.

The evora lives in the garage so no probs. have seen a bit of steaming up in the headlights when in use and another local evora I saw was worse than mine. I suspect this is TADTS.

Exhaust is personal taste and depends on use of car. There are comprehensive threads on this on TLF and SELOC with videos. Favourites are the janspeed produced official lotus sports exhaust with our without 3rd decat, 2bular or larini.

I suspect I'll be going lotus sport and decat. The decat also has the benefit of lowering engine bay temps.

Misting isn't too bad inside on windscreen but fan for clearing is very good, haven't needed to use a cloth to wipe it yet (unlike the S1 and S2 which both froze inside!) and have been able to drive off within a minute no problem (kept outside).

Headlight havent noticed.

I have Sports Exhaust and De-cat and get complimented on the sound. It's also relatively quiet in the cabin (S2 sports exhaust had a drine at Motorway speeds). Evora is quiet when maintaining steady speed, but nice throaty roar when accelerating. Best I can describe it as is similar to an Aston Vantage.

If your in the South East get yourself over to Seloc and post on there.

I suspect there will be somebody relatively close with an upgraded exhaust that would be prepared to meet up so you can hear it in the flesh!

If on the odd rare occasion I have had a misted windscreen, the demister has cleared it quickly. Not noticed any issues with headlamp misting.

I have a standard rear box (2011 car) but with different headers so only have single rear cat...sounds great and as before is still quite when cruising but bellows nicely when opened up....infact in a tunnel it positively screams...you could be at an F1 event at Monaco!

Check your mats. Mine had a leak from the door and was quite wet underneath the mats. Not its fixed misting is far less of a problem.

EDIT: I found other cars misting up in this damp weather but my Evora was paarticularly bad. I lifted the pax floormat and it was soaking due to the door membrane not being fitted correctly. Now it's sorted (plus a few days for the mat to dry out) it is fine. Will be worth you checking.

Headlights misting up might be a sealing problem. Water crept in somehow.

I have a problem with the boot getting some water in somehow, but only issue I've had with leaking.

Exhaust I'm going for is the Larini.

I listened to a few and that was the one that impressed me the most.

TBH it's not uncommon but only happens in certain weather conditions.

I think the headlight issue is likely to simply be a warm bulb heating up the inside of the lamp and cold external air temp. Mine has only done it once and it had been bone dry in the garage for a week. My wifes fiesta also did it at the same time and I've seen it occasionally on most of our cars over the years.

I assume we are just talking about a little fogging around the edges here.
