Yup, something I will need to do when the warranty runs out and I decide which replacement I want.

bugger, whish I had seen this before I did mine. Is it says the interior is a PITA to remove.

I put my amp in the boot and it drives the cross overs at the front and the sub (4 channel Genesis. This makes getting power to it easy but obviously there are signal wires to get to and from it.

the advantage of putting the amp in the boot is there is more room for a sub enclosure in the boot, here is where I put it with a carbon floor but no front cover

and here with the black MDF cover and 8" JL sub in place

sounds great. The pioneer has pre outs specifically for the components fronts and a sub so no need for a seperate remote sub control.

cheers

Kinell! I do not even think I have listened to my radio once...or would even bother? Guess you boys do a lot of commuting?

There is no hurry, you`re along time dead....although the you might get there quicker than expected if you drive too quickly in the wrong circumstances....personally I prefer the scream of the engine and exhaust!

Talking of exhausts...had a go in a new 911 2S the other day....very nice car, and very quick in a straight line....definately quicker than my Evora S, but the suspension was too firm and the Evora would be all over it in less than perfect conditions....especialy after it has been to Hangar 111.
Anyhow, the motoring press say they make a fantastic sound....it certainly revved its nuts off and it had the sports exhaust etc, but it sounded a bit weird to me and very monotone. It was loud!...and it was £88k so £30k more than an Evora.
In summary, a very nice car, very well put together, very mainstream, but you`d struggle to use it to its full potential anywhere other than an empty motorway for more than a few seconds. What the turbo would be like!?

The Evora on the other hand is so well set up that you can use it almost anywhere at any time, assuming the road is clear.....

I'm not looking to start changing speakers etc but my radio reception is poor and I came across these searching for aerial issues. Seems the aerial is just a short length of wire in the A post

Being fibreglass the car doesn't have a ground plane to pick up the other half of the radio signal so rather than try harder to get a decent reception, that loose 18" of wire looks more like 10% effort!

DAB isn't a bad idea but until there's better DAB coverage that's not perfect either.

Morning all,

I think I have seen similar posts somewhere and not wanting to hijack the OP's topic (can start a new topic if needs be) I wondered for those less adventurous in the hifi stakes what settings people run on the Headunit?

I have the IVA520R (don't think it has imprint, how would I know?)

The below is the setup I am running at the moment. I am no audiophile but like things to sound "good". I reached the below by pushing and prodding without really knowing what I was doing. I listen to everything from Deadmau5 to Frank Sinatra and everything in between!

Anyone care to critique the setup or offer an alternative!

Balance 0
Fade 8r
Bass Freq 80 - What effect does this have?
Bass Bandwidth "wide 2" - What does this do?
Treble 2
Treble Frequency 15
Front HPF 80
Rear HPF 80 HPF = High Pass Filter right? Seem to remember coming across something similar when setting up my home cinema, something to do with the level at which the bass gets sent to the sub?
Sub On
Nav Mix 8

When I had the 505R (pretty similar to the 520R) I found my favourite set up was to turn the front and rear HPF off, set Bass to +7, 100hz, Wide2. set Treble to +4, 17.5hz, plus the subwoofer on.

I've got the 920R now which has a different set up.
