TBH - I did not think the factory tour was worth it. Done a number of different tours and the Lotus one was very expensive for what it was.
If you do go, ensure you do the heritage tour as well.

I just called and booked. You can book online but their was a problem with the credit card payment gateway on Monday. It is expensive compared to the Morgan factory tour for example but not silly expensive.
I think Lotus and the dealers are potentially missing a trick inviting potential customers to the factory and test track. Compare to what Landrover do.

Quite, so my advice is if you're taking your other half then make sure they are ready so you're not hooing up there in a bright yellow sports car trying to get there on time! Also, if you are and get caught, be nice to the BiB and they might not be so hard on you
I got caught earlier this year by a marked car actually waiting on the slip road for Mulbarton. 6 points and a big fine - ouch!!Well it depends on a lot of things. Although going quickly I wasn't harrassing other drivers, I was just using the clear space where I could. Also the traffic was light and conditions dry and sunny. When pulled over I didn't bother to deny it and 'held my hands up' to it (not much else I could do). I had my rights read to me which made me wonder how bad it was going to be but because I'd been nice about things and not driven/acted like a **** I only picked up 3pts and £60 fine. I asked them why they read me my rights and they said it was because they never know whether a driver is going to kick off or not. As I didn't it didn't matter. Oh, and I was driving a bright yellow Boxster with the roof down at the time. And at that point I also had a clean license.
Enjoyed the tour.
Factory seemed well kept and fairly busy. Production currently 2500 cars a year of which 85% exported.
I was surprised that it takes 3 weeks to build a car start to finish.
Judging by the cars being built today I would say 45% Evora, 45% Exige S and just 10% Elise. I only saw two RHD Evoras but there were 4 or 5 very nicely specced Exige S being built RHD.
There were 12 in the party. 7 were from overseas including Australian, German and French.
Oh and I saw a car pulled over by the police on the dual carriageway near the exit to the factory so thanks for the tip ;-).
