Just FYI for all you Evora fans

I have just picked up a nice Die cast 1/18 Evora S in TK Maxx for only £6.99

Went in there again this week and they had some more so might be a job lot across the stores ?

In the toy section

Cheers

Model zone are also banging out quite large ones that are quite detailed, sat on a plinth, with openable doors etc. I got mine from Meadowhell, Sheffield, reduced from £15 to £7.

The motor max ones have only just been released, look good in photos but not something i have seen in the flesh. The cheap ones in model zone are the burago ones and are quite good. The nicest and most detailed are the Spark ones, but these are resin and nothing opens/moves.

Nah, there's one in Meadowhall and I saw one in Chester at the weekend...admittedly they did have a big sale on though!

Afraid it's true : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/re...

......and none of the TK Maxx stores I've tried so far (in Central Scotland) have got the Evora - a staff member at one even tried to suggest the Nissan 370Z would be a suitable alternative, grrrr!

Those stores were open, honest, but maybe selling off all their stock.

Hate it when people even dare to compare a 350z or 370z with the Evora! How dare they compare the mighty Lotus with Nissan, in my mind it sits up there with Porsche, Aston, Bentley, Ferrari and other such similarly prestigious marques; indeed, both of the Loti I've bought have been sold alongside such vehicles.

On the flip side both the Evora and the 350Z are coupes with Japanese 3.5l V6's around the 280bhp mark, weigh around 1400kg, drive the rear wheels and saw interior trim upgrades or the years to answer initial press criticism...

Maybe the salesman was more savvy than you think. tongue out

Disappointed by the lack of Evoras in our nearby TK Maxx outlets, I wandered into a local specialist model shop and found this little beauty - little being the operative word as it's only 1:43 scale but nicely presented and part of a limited edition run of 1500.

Spark did a white 1:43 Evora S, should be able to find it on eBay for around £50. Corgi ones are about £26 but some of the details like the wheels are better on the Spark.
