Well I have now owned my Evora for 2 weeks, its a 2010 N/A car with every extra including exhaust and de-cat. Thoughts so far, well I am starting to click with the car, it is very different at first to the Porsches I have owned previous. I am now starting to understand the car. Firstly I would definitely say to any perspective owner of an evora do NOT buy one without the sport pack. For the first few days I forgot to press the sport button and started thinking the car was not quite as I remembered from my test drives before buying. The sport button totally transforms the car making it so much more responsive and feel much quicker. The down side to this is that you tend to drive a bit quicker and seem to use more fuel, I only seem to be getting about 22mpg at the moment, is that normal??? The sports exhaust and de-cat also add a lot to the car and again I would definitely recommend anyone to either buy one with them fitted or buy and fit straight away, unless you want a quiet car then just stick with the standard exhaust.
The handling is sublime, corners and roundabouts are a joy. Brakes are the best I have experienced.
Alpine stereo, still getting used to it, managed to turn the annoying speed camera alerts off so I will probably get a speeding ticket now but at least I haven't got to put up with that annoying sound!!
I do not personally think it is too bad, yes I am sure there is better available but I am certainly not going to run out and replace it, it plays my I-pod fine and I'm happy with that.
Tyre pressures, Is it normal for the tyres to loose a bit of pressure, mine has the TPS fitted and the pressures appear to be dropping with use. Need to put some air in all tyres, I cannot believe I have slow punctures in all 4 tyres!!! Hope not anyway!!

Bad luck if your tyres are deflating...mine are fine.

Good to hear you are clicking with your car. You will find it is extremely well balanced with very high limits for a road car. Leave your braking until very very late and into the corner, at the apex, floor it!
According to Evo there is prescious little that will stay with it (Exige V6?) and being a sado, watched Clarksons video review from 2009...he thought it was absolutely fantastic...other than the switchgear!...but would still have it over the Cayman any day of the week.
Best to keep it quiet.

Pictures please. What car is it? Still can't believe mine hasn't been snapped up by someone.

Fantastic cars, agree re exhaust and de-cat! Get it on track so you can appreciate its limits and enjoy.

Yeah good to hear. Although my tyres do not lose pressure. Strange that it is all 4, that would lead me to think it's the computer that's at fault?

Must admit, I can't imagine being without mine. I love it!

Pics please!

Mine loses prssures in the tyres all the time. I think its just that you see it so clearly whilst on other cars you just check every so often and find out. It does make you a bit paranoid but I am sure all tyres can't have slow punctures!!

The probability of all four tyre s having slow punctures is extremely unlikely, the pressures do go up and down depending on tyre temperature quite a bit, like you say you just notice it more having the pressure monitors fitted. I will check them on a calibrated gauge when i use it next and see how i get on, the rear two tyre s are brand new so there should be no issues, just new owner paranoia!! I hope. . . . . . .

Interestingly I noticed that in the hot weather the two tyres on the 'sun side' of the car went up 2psi more than those in the shade!

Mpg sounds very low indeed, even in sport all of the time I was getting 30 mpg, but that did include a fair bit of motorway driving. I noticed at tickover fuel economy used to drop massively, so it would be really bad through dense traffic, in a city for example...only you know how and where you drive. Tyre pressures on mine used to vary by plus minus 3-4 psi during use and cool down...air expands when warm, hence pressure rises, decreases when it cools. Nothing to worry about IMH.

Enjoy it!

Congratulations if you are getting 30mpg in your Evora, I reckon that's pretty good going. I have an S and 22mpg is the best I have ever managed smile

Well after a recent 20 mile drive to Derby I left the sport mode off. I got 28mpg there. On the return journey I put sport mode on and it dropped to just below 25 so it would seem the fun button costs you, worth it though IMO!!! Definitely stop starting at lights kills the mpg which probably accounts for my low 22mpg on the last tank of fuel, lucky i didn't buy it for the economy!!

^^^^ Exactly, I always think that if I ever get to the stage that I need to start worrying about about saving pennies on fuel I probably shouldn't be driving an Evora! Enjoy yours, I've had mine over a year now and it still makes me smile inside every time I see it.

I got over 30mpg bringing mine home from Scotland, on a run I think this is easily achievable just not during normal driving. Just put a tank of 99ron fuel in this time to see if that makes much difference.
