Right, so I now own this Evora S IPS. At this point other than driving 70 miles of motorway and a short trip to the shops I haven't driven it. However I've given it some valeting tlc and here are my first questions (MY12 btw):

Do I have DTR?
The Lotus roundel in the pax footwell has been partially ripped off already, do I just get another from Lotus or do people have no std ones (Its'd be nice to red edged ones)
My alarm went off at 10pm last night but the lights didn't flash. Thoughts?
Why doesn't it has an 'S' on the back?
Does the sat nav system update somehow?

I've also bought EV05RAS from DVLA for £250 which should look good on the car too smile

First of all, congratulations on the New car! Looks great. I think I'll be going for an IPS S next.

On your questions..

Do you mean Daytime Running Lights? There should be a white connector in the passenger footwell. Connect it up if you want them on..

Which Sat Nav have you got? ALPINE?

The alarm went off presumably you unlocked the car, opened the door, then locked again at some point? If you need to open the car without actually driving, make sure you cycle the ignition before locking it again.

It should also have the S on the back, possibly fallen off. I removed my 'Evora' badge as it looks like an afterthought.

Thanks. Its a proper beast! I feel like a rich person now lol!!!

When the alarm went off I just 'plipped' it from inside which unlocked it and then locked it. Fngers crossed..

I'll have a look for that connector, is it just a case of conecting the two? i.e. a 2 second job?

My car doesn't even look like it has an 'S' but I am having some graphics done anyway so I'll get a stick on one (nice than that sounds!)

hehe I will but it had honestly had the worst wash I'd seen in my life. I couldn't not clean it, its even got red brake calipers now! I work from home so don't alwaya drive very far but its the weekend now so I'll change that!

As an aside, I noticed my car doesn't had the glass black diffuser, perhaps because it was built in 2011 or are the gloass black difusers only on the Sports Racer models? Hmmm, not sure, meh, who cares? hehe

Glad you are enjoying it. I posted a new set of LOTUS decals and an S. It did not have an S when I bought it so asked Lotus to add one. Should be with you tomorrow.

Nice one. Registration should look good as well, as you say bit of a bargain at £250.

Will have to look for one for mine.

I had 2 IPS Evora's for 3 months each, an MY11 NA and an MY12 S. To be honest as someone who doesn't like auto's I was really impressed, a very engaging and fun drive in Sport mode using the paddles.

Looking good, looking very good in fact!

Congratulations - and this has added incentive to get on with the search for 'mine'.

I'd been out in a manual and then tried the IPS afterwards. I think a lot of people who do realise how good and practical it is. Yesterday for example I went out for the afternoon and mostly I was following traffic and so its far easier just to leave it in D but when I had the chance to 'give it the beans' it took just a couple of clicks on the paddle and off it shot! There's also the novelty of paddle shifters which I've not used before.

Still haven't been far in the car but I can tell you that it pretty much stops everything dead at a petrol station! And I've seen more neighbours in the last 5 days... smile
