I have/suffer a lot of banter with mate of mine who apsires for nothing more than to own a Nissan GTR and therefore does not get Lotus at all, although he is secretly impressed with the Evora....he took great delight yesterday in forwarding details of a recall for the Evora S regarding the potential for engine fires. I have found out a little bit about it and apparently an oil pipe near the top of the engine can potentially split and the escaping oil can become ignited on the hot exhaust etc. It may have happened once and been a 1 off, or is it a more common problem? There appears to be a recall via the VOSA website?

It was done recently in the US due to more stringent timings, but not heard of any specific cases where it has happened.jules_s said:
