Hey all,
I've just picked up my Evora and it's got a few interior rattles and creaks which is fair enough, and it's going in to the dealer in a week or so to get them fixed. I can show the dealer exactly where most of them are, and show them which part of the interior I need to press on to stop them happening, so they *should* be easy to fix.
The one I can't locate is the driver's seat though, it has a horrible creak at low driving speeds over my left shoulder near the door (USA car) or sometimes if I shuffle around in it. If I stop the car and try to wiggle it around, I can't reproduce it. Has anyone else seen this before?
Apart from that it's a lot of fun... even if it does use my petrol than my 6.2 litre Camaro

Yup. Been having it on my seat the last month or so.
If I reposition the seat it seems to solve it for a bit. Not annoyed me that much yet though...
Sounds like some play in the seat runner? Quite common on the Elise and can be adjusted, but the Evora uses a different runner. If I reposition the seat it seems to solve it for a bit. Not annoyed me that much yet though...
I'll check that out. From memory it was a bit higher, almost like it's coming from the flap you lift up to bring the seat forward, but I've had a good play with that and I can't replicate it unless I'm sitting in the car and shuffling around.
As a general question though, are my expectations too high in that I can remove all the squeaks/rattles, or should I always expect some?

Mines done 14k now (i did the last 3k) no rattles or squeeks - although I came from an elise so maybe my expectations were lower!
Joking apart I have been very impressed with feeling of solidity. Also, speeking as an unashamed fanboy it seems Lotus gets a bad rep for build quality when reading Monkey's latest post about the things that are loose/broken on his 599 (180k+ when new) http://www.pistonheads.com/news/26417.htm - quite refreshing!
Queue someone with a porsche saying its night and day between the two marques - well the new evora i sat in at the GWFOS was leagues ahead of mine, and I would dare say has really narrowed that gap. For comparison i was in a showroom new Carrera 4S that a friend bought and while undeniably nice, i gave it a good prod and a push and some bis are loose bendy just like a Lotus! anyway rant over, I hope you sort your squeek!
