What new tyres?
Discussion
I hear mostly bad things about anything non P zero, there's a few threads on it over at Lotusforums
I got some replacement pzero mo1s from mytyres and saved about £225 on the price my Lotus dealer quoted and had them fitted locally

Exactly, Lotus spent a lot of development time choosing the right tyre I also brought from my tyres the price fluctuates as I think its the conversion rate against the Euro the call centre is in northern germany but realy good service 2-3 days for delivery http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110...
Personally I have them fitted at a local trusted garage who also fit tyres (if you are in the tauton area K&R autos - I used to take my cars there when they were non mitsubishi they are spot on)
The fitter is as anal as me and takes me around each wheel before he fits the new tyre and then again afterwards an is über careful
I wouldn't trust a local monkey outfit had a nightmare with some in the past.

Also, as has been said I would stick with the OEM fit, I've tried a few different tyres on Evoras and they all affect the balance and response of the car. Even top end tyres like Bridgestones made it lazy and a bit oversteery on the limit.
Finally, if you've got 19/20's then for god's sake only take it to a place you trust. The 20's are an absolute nightmare to get onto the wheel and can need a lot of pressure to get them to seat properly. Also worth making your garage aware of the tyre pressure sensors on the back of the valves, as they're quite easily tweaked by a misplaced tyre lever.

I have the 18 / 19 forged wheels (mines a nov 10 car).
The rears from the factory are the MO1s on the earlier cars, I think the later corsas on the S have a different marking idetifier (LS)
Beware of L marked instead of the MO1s if you have an earlier car (http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/topic/28669-tyres/pagest100)

How does the tyre pressure monitor even work...I mean getting a signal from inside the tyre to the dash...how?
Try this linky http://www.motoringassist.com/motoring-advice/tech...Still cant decide. Been researhing...some suggest Goodyear Eagles, others Michelin Pilots, local tyre dealer suggests Cooper Avon...they have them on Morgans apparently...he had them on his VX220. And they have been on Elise's. Guess I'm after a compromise tyre between grip, good wear and price. I do 12000 motorway mlles pa in the Evora and Pirelllis are thus wasted and too soft, wearing too quickly...I can't see me ever tracking the car or pushing it too enthusiastically. Any more advice?

Sell the Evora.....Suggestion 1 would be don't be such a tightwad! The online prices ain't too bad and you know you will be getting the max handling if and when needed.
Suggestion2 would be I have good experience with Falken FE452s being fairly hard wearing tyres. Performed ok on my 6 series not sure about on the evora though.

Personally I'd stick to the P Zeros.
The car is all about the handling, why would you want to risk ruining that to save a few quid? The other tyres aren't that much cheaper if you shop around
Ditto. Although they are rather expensive £200 or so a tyre, but that's the nature of the beast. The car is all about the handling, why would you want to risk ruining that to save a few quid? The other tyres aren't that much cheaper if you shop around
