Anyone else ever experienced the power window not going back up properly when you close the door? Worked fine until leaving the door open while disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU after registering a non existant traction control fault. Nothing on the forums anywhere about this...want to avoid 80 mile trip to dealer...or being without it while they collect, fix and return. Also just wanna know what's wrong so I can avoid doing whatever I've done in the future. The door still closes and window makes contact with the seal, so hopefully watertight, but used to slide back up half an inch when door closed, but won't anymore!

Wind fully up and down a few times and it will reset. It needs to relearn the position after being powered down thumbup

Whoooooooooooop! A thousand thank yous. Seriously made my day with this easy fix..I have owned the car a week and would have lost sleep over this and been worried if it had ever happened again. Just crept into the garage at 11pm, tried what you said and hey presto...it works. The father in law, who is a mechanic, and i have been puzzled by this all evening, was seriously worried about driving to work in it with all the rain and bad weather etc. Whoopee are you some kind of car god?

Make that thanks wookie....damn predictive iPad text...so grateful I had to add you as a mate...checked your profile and coincidentally the said father in law who was helping me also owns a defender and an MG.

No worries at all, glad to be of service! Not a car god, just work with a lot of people who spend a lot of time with Evoras (if you get me wink), so you get to know the quirks and find out the workarounds fairly easily!

Hopefully his MGB and Defender are in better nick than mine! Sadly both laid up in my parents' garage with no MOT's in the moment in need of a bit of TLC!

Don't suppose you know anything about the traction control on the evora - light is back on permanently - which is why I disconnected the battery in the first place - sport wont light up on dash when pressed - cruise control not working either - all seems linked. Any ideas...maybe a dealer job this time!

Not sure on that one... Probably a wheel speed sensor or sensor connection, common on a lot of cars but not heard of that one on the Evora before. Sorry but that sounds like a dealer job to me!

It is all linked though, you can't use Cruise Control when you have the ASC switched off, I suspect so it can automatically trip out if the car aquaplanes or somesuch
