had my Laser eye surgery done
Discussion
done it on wednesday the 27th April with optical express in Harley Street.
got the intralase done and the whole procdedure was over within 5 minutes.
soon as i got out of the surgery room i was taken to a room (big difference in my eyesight already) and the same surgoen would look over my eyes and then another nurse ,
explained what drops to take etc and if i had any questions.
in the next 10 minutes i could feel my eye lids getting heavier and heavier, and i couldnt open them for longer than 1-2 seconds luckliy I had my family with me who took me home in the cab, i went sraight to bed.
remember there is no pain and the discomfort you get is very acceptable.
went to sleep for about 2-3 hours when i woke up to eat put drops i could already see almost everything.
went to sleep and woke up the next day and eyesight was getting better and better.
next morning had my check up and asked if i had any quuestions etc and was out within 15 mins.
today been doing all normal stuff driving etc obviously been taking everything easy though.
got to wear sunglasses all day and goggles whilst sleeping at night.
my eyes sight before was -6.75 in both eyes and i had been a contact lense wearer for the last 10-12 years daily.
any questions etc?

Glad it went well. Hope the recovery goes well too. It'll take a few days to settle down. got the intralase done and the whole procdedure was over within 5 minutes.

Did you have any special eye conditions or was it just straight forward long/short sight?? As i have an eye condition that not alot of people seem to no much about and already had 1 opperation which hasnt made any differance just wondering if lasor surgery might help
NO REAL CONDITIONS, just suffered from dry eyes etc before. i had overworn contact lenses and just coudlnt bear to wear them any more. my eyes sued to be sore all the time and look and feel very tired. now they dont i could wake up any time of the morning and just have slight dryness out the drps in and feel great.

How old are you? I've been thinking about this but after a conversation with the optician it sounds like it's better if you're 20-30 (I'm 48) as your eyes get worse as you older anyway and so it won't avoid that.
im 26. my eyesight before was -6.75 and now its around -.25. Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
