Food Intollerance
Discussion
I was diagnosed years ago with IBS and it's been the bain of my life and the subject of many medical exam. However I recently had more food testing done, and it transpires that I am intollerant to:
Lactose
Yeast
Coffee
Chocolate
Onions
Garlic
So, just the things that make up my daily diet
Has anyone else dealt with/coped with a lactose/yeast free diet, and if so any hints/tips, food ideas for me please?
Thanks!

My son has a lactose intolerance and it doesn't massively effect his life. We have actually found that introducing a little bit each day is helping to raise his tolerance levels.
With regards to food the Lactofree range is great, the milk tastes no different to semi-skimmed and the yoghurts and cheese spread are much better than other free from type foods. The cheese, however, is a bit rubbery but passable in a sandwich.
As someone else said, has this been tested by your GP or in a health food shop? With the tests we've been to before we've actually had to invoke a reaction beforehand so they can pinpoint the actual cause.
