Tendonitis - long term damage?
Discussion
Doctor confirmed a number of weeks ago I had some tendonitis in my hand / wrist. Gave me some anti inflammatories.
Not really been able to stopwan using my hand for everyday activities picking up / carrying laptop bag, day to day work, some DIY
not really an option to "rest" the hand for long period.
Hence its still not right, but its getting slowly better.
Is there any risk of long term damage if I continue as above?

You could be on the way to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, if you don't rest it now. Every time those tendons get inflamed they develop a layer of scar tissue, that makes them just a bit thicker, or so I was told. Eventually they start to trap the nerve that runs through your wrist. Then it gets miserable pretty quick.
Definitely rest it!
I've had very bad tendonitis in my elbow, with associated scarring, which was only cured by 2 lots of steroid injections directly into tendon and then more rest, then physio.
I've also got perforations in my right achilles tendon, which needs ice regularly after phys and will eventually need an air cast, several weeks of rest and then physio (did the left one this way about 2 years ago). You don't want to go through the equivalent of this for your wrist.
The anti-inflammatories won't cure it, they'll just take away the symptoms and help with the pain.
