Sudden rash on neck (am I going to die?)
Discussion
Pic is not me, but illustrates a similar rash, except mine is kind of washed out in the middle, more pronounced at the edges.

First noticed by a colleague yesterday. I was wearing a jumper I havent worn for a while (wool) but I've had the jumper for a year or two and never had a problem before, plus it only occured on my neck - not anywhere else that would have contacted the material. I've not eaten or done anything out of the ordinary.
I took an anti-histamine pill but that doesnt seem to have done anything.

I wouldn't buy an Advent Calendar. (Stolen from another thread.)
Have you changed washing powder/fabric conditioner? It's possible that you're now allergic to the old one which was used to wash that jumper. Or you've developed an allergy to wool. Don't wear that jumper for a while and see if the rash goes. If it doesn't then seek professional help. Well, that's what I'd do but I'm not a medical expert.

If you are well, give it a few days and see if it gets worse. Maybe take a photo to make a comparison. Then, if it is worse go and see you GP.
If you are unwell - go to your GP.
If it is really itchy - go to your GP to get super dooper antihistamines.
Don't wear the jumper in the meantime.
IMHO
