Does anyone know of one? I am going to be staying there at the Novatel for 2 weeks whilst on a course with work. Ideally a mix of cardio and weights but a meat head gym would also suffice if there is nothing else!

There are a few but I've only ever been a member of David Lloyd's. It's a far cry from a meathead gym due to the totty and other poseurs but has all the regular cardio stuff and a half decent free weights section. If you're in the Novotel by junction 14 of the M1 then the closest are David Lloyd's and LA Fitness, which are both by Willen Lake.

There's also a DW, Virgin, Bannatyne's and a few other chains but a two week pass might be hard to get so best ring round.

Hope this helps smile

Cheers for that. I've been a member of David Lloyd in Solihull for nearly 7 years, I rang them and they won't let me train there for the 2 weeks. Unless I would like to pay the day rate of £14 each time!

eek

What ?!?! Cheeky sods. I thought they changed the rules so that you can visit any DL's across the country nowadays. I've been visiting other DL's for years confused

I think the only time this doesn't work is if your home gym is smaller than the one you're visiting. The one in MK is (allegedly) one of the biggest so perhaps this is why I've been able to do this. Is the DL's in Solihul not a full racquets branch or something ?

There is two in Solihull, literally 2 mins away from each other. Im a member of the none racquets one.
Ive just found out a lad I know is manager of the one in Oxford, im gonna ask him to speak to the MK one and see if he can pull any strings!
