On Friday night I thought I was getting flu, high temperature, aching joints, everything except the running nose. Over the weekend it's eased off, still ache a bit and no appetite for two days but no 'nasal issues' and it certainly hasn't turned into proper flu. I suspect it's some other virus but I'm not sure and I'm still half expecting it to get worse again.

Has anyone else had this? Is there any flu around at the moment?

You could be going through the change. Have you checked the mirror recently?

Yeah, you probably had the flu !!!

Runny nose does not signify flu, flu-like symptoms are high temp, aching joints and muscles, headaches, dizziness, malaise, no appetite, nausea....most of the above but not all.

Runny nose and/or sore throat are symptoms of viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), which basically manifests itself as a head cold.

Thanks guys. It's passed off now so perhaps it was just a very mild flu because it did tick most of the boxes.

Probably not.

You know you have flu when it's raining £20 notes, and you can't get out of bed to catch any.
