Hi,

Was standing last night, and leant forwards, moving my knee to full lock, and when it went to full lock I felt an incredible pain, like someone had hit my reflex point with a hammer really hard...

I couldn't stand up and I it was a weird 'funny bone' type of pain (You know the kind? Where you laugh it hurts so much...) It went off after about 10 minutes but now if I move my knee to full lock again it feels like it's going to 'go' again.

Does this sound like a dislocation? Was really weird!

That sounds like the patella making it's way north- I get it quite a bit- plastic kneecap- and sometimes it moves a couple of inches out.

It really fking hurts, but now I push it back in myself

Too much detail??

Try manipulating the joint- quite often it arrives with a painful hamstring a day before, then it simply pops a couple of days later, so at least I get some warning!!

The liver is healthy.

Well, I say healthy, it's got a few miles on it, but it gets a regular workout

that's good to hear, I'm just back from the pub / curry house having given mine some more exercise.

Tonight, I have mainly been drinking wine. Well, that and a few guinness at the pub earlier. And still the liver works, as do the piss bags- or kidneys, should you prefer.
I would give anything to taste anything again though, can't detect any difference between curry or beans on toast, port or lemonade. Obviously I detect a difference after a lot, as lemonade doesn't normally make me fall over!

It's fully recovered now, maybe the odd twinge if I fully extend the leg quickly, weird!

Sounds like it might be a meniscal tear, worth getting checked out (though it's unlikely your leg's going to fall off!). Do you take part in sport or other activities that might cause trauma to your knee? Unlikely to be ligaments from the way you describe it, better get a bone monkey to look at it.

Not really no, I have been driving quite a lot though and the problem is in my right leg, could that cause it?
