Cowing thing!
I had one on Saturday, drank gallons of water and was busting to go so when the nurse said "Ready?" I was like a rat up a drainpipe. She prepared everything then said "I'm going to be waiting just outside the door okay?"
"Yeah, no problem, this won't take a minute."
Could I go? Not a chance.
Three pathetic, half hearted attempts later I gave up. She came in, looked at the print out and gave a thin, unimpressed smile. Consultant shook his head "This doesn't look right". "I'm not normally like this!! I swear it's normally okay!"

He had a look with the Ultrasound thingie and said "You should be desperate to go right now." I said I am I am!!
Try again he says. Straight into the loo, no nurse posted outside, Niagara Falls, straight out again. He has another butchers, everything perfect, flying colours. Phew!

Why can't I go when strange women are listening?

Stage fright.

I'm told men with undersized winks often have that issue.....

Hmm, well I've never had any complaints but I suppose it's possible.
I've had so many tests and stuff in the last few years and even whacking it out for nurses hasn't bothered me, it's just trying to 'go' in a strange situation.

Out of interest, why have you had these tests? Nothing serious, I hope?

You may regret asking that...

Chronic Sarcoidosis in my lungs, very aggressive, initially thought to be metastatic cancer but wasn't, long term steroid treatments. Because it's a bit rampant and because of the meds I have to have regular kidney/liver/bone/blood scans and samples. Then I got a testicle lump which set off another load of visits but turned out to be nothing (2 bullets dodged, I've been a very lucky man).

At the moment I'm doing good, still on the Prednisolone (probably for good now so not ideal) but I can work, exercise, drink occasionally and all in all have a pretty normal life. The nurses/doctors/consultants have all been amazing and thanks to decent health cover I've always had prompt attention.

Everyday is a good one, thanks for asking Shadow.

And your health?

Jeez. Well, I hope you get well soon!

Me? Bruised left knee. Occasionally hurts when I bang it on the steering wheel when I get in and out of the car or when I pick up a bag and clip my knee. And you thought you had it bad. hehe
