I've just been to the doctors today for some advice and products to help me in my quest to quit smoking.

I've been smoking since i was 14, normally about 15 to 20 a day, now at 33 and looking around at my older work colleagues who smoke, i'm not prepared to end up like that.

So, has anyone got any comments, good advice, stories etc about quitting? Obviously i know the benefits both health wise and financially.

Cheers/

Do you actually want to give up, or is this externally driven? If not, you're wasting all sorts of money on stopping smoking products, because it won't work.

Hi, yes i really want to give up. My incentive is financial (as well as health), £2200 per year on smokes, is money i could put towards a better car and so on.
