It seems the average for the UK is 111 litres per person per year.

Now I drink/use, 6 litres a week, thats 312 litres a year.

I might use a pint every 3 to 4 weeks in cooking.

I do try for a glass every morning with a banana for calcium and potassium.

Sadly, I'm not a breakfast person.

Must have been twenty years since I had a glass of milk.
I dont dislike the taste but I hate the aftertaste.
Not bad with cereal though, or in coffee.
I think I might be a bit lactose intolerant anyway as cheese makes me feel a bit sick.
I cant help feeling now that its a bit unnatural TBH.

ignoring the foul taste Milk leaves in my mouth Milk was just promoted as healthy to save farmers. This was the same time that "Guinness was good for you". Next you will be reminiscing about eating coal in the 70's and how reliable the English car industry was......

Easily a couple of pints a day, there is nothing better than a lovely fresh cold pint of milk.

Morrisons have just brought out a special edition white chocolate milkshake (bds!!!). I'm addicted and getting through a litre of the stuff a day, not counting my usual semi-skimmed milk for tea / cereal and cooking. Ooops!

Probably between half a pint and a pint in coffee throughout the day, plus another half pint or so over cereal if that's what's on the breakfast menu.

If Frijj milkshakes count though, that probably ups it by another half pint a day too biggrin

Having just thought about it, I get through about 12 pints a week of skimmed milk, and that is all in coffee!!! I never drink milk on its own, and rarely have cereal.

I think I may need to start cutting back on caffeine smile.

1/4 pint of semi-skimmed each day for early morning tea and breakfast coffee.

1/2 pint extra when needed to make a sauce ( cheese/parsley/hollandaise etc.)

When you think about it, milk is a bit wierd. And think of all the calves shot at birth just for being male? Bit of a shame. They don't even get eaten.
