Salt and Vinegar chips are my recommendation
Not nice! Nor you, Graham. If it is really desperate, Super Glue was designed and intended to quickly stick skin to skin. Not sure I'd want it in my mouth, though.
I'd stick to tissues and time, myself.

Obviously pressure on the wound, then dip your mouth in molten tar.
OK, seriously if you are starting to go into shock from the huge blood loss (!) you need a Styptic Pencil - usually sold for when you cut yourself shaving, made of Aluminium Sulphate, Titanium Dioxide or Potassium Alum.
Available from most chemists, and some secondary school chemistry departments!
Another alternative is sold in pet shops for when you cut small a animal's (e.g. a rabbit's) toenail and you cut too much - they bleed like the proverbial stuck pig - so pet shops sell styptic pencils which you dab on the wound and it clots the blood and stops the bleeding.
