I'm sure this has been done to death, but I have lower back problems. I did 10 years as a specialist Antique mover and it hurts now. Not too bad during the day, but if I stay still for any length of time, it seems to tighten up and get painful to move.
Which is the best practice for this type of pain, Chiropractic or Osteopathic?
Also, from that, anyone any recommendations in North Oxfordshire

My physio treated my herniated disc last year and managed to get me back on track without surgery. I found him to be excellent for back related issues.

He is based in Abingdon and has a great reputation. www.physiolab-oxford.co.uk

Let me know if you want any further info... smile

Cheers,

Steve.

Thanks, I may give him a shout. What does he charge?
I was hoping to find someone closer to Chipping Norton, but he looks very clued up

My private health paid but IIRC it was about £50 for the first hour consultation then £40 for a half hour treatment.

I trust the guy and he won't treat you for the sake of it if you know what I mean.

Cheers,

Steve.

Steve, two sessions down the line with one more booked and I must say he seems like a great guy.
My pelvis was well and truly locked up one side. He has sorted that and is doing a great number on my knee.
Well worth the money

There's a very good physio in Adderbury.

Contact Gill Randall - she's on this list:
http://www.physiodirectory.com/pages/Banbury.php

She works from home and also Deddington Surgery.

Her approach is very calm and she gave me some really good exercises for my sciatica early this year.

Hope it helps, continuous pain is a bugger, really makes one grumpy!
