Whyyyy!?
I thought it was a spot, can't see it as it's on the back of my head. Mums had a look and thinks it's a mole. I've probably angered it because I thought it was a spot, but it was sore in the first place when I discovered it. It's sore and quite firm to touch, another reason I thought it was just a spot :/ better get it checked?

If you're not sure, get to a doc. Are you a sun worshipper? Sun bathing is a good hobby for developing Melanoma Carcinoma.

People say how healthy they look when they have a tan. I chuckle inside.

Skin cancer is unlikely under the hair line, and British docs are not so quick to think of it. Still, read this and maybe get it checked:

ETA- Don't discount other stuff, 'Psoriasis' commonly occurs on the scalp, just for one, and that isn't too scary.

Get it checked out! I ignored the one on my ass for years and in the end had to have it removed. 7 inch scar on my back side now. It's aching as I type this because the winter is coming back and it's like a bloody barometer now! Best to get it checked now and if it needs sorting, it needs sorting.

Yeah, it could be anything but I'd rather the OPer went to seek help rather than we all say that it's probably nothing and he ignores it for 6 months then keels over. You know what us men are like with doctors and health issues.http://www.ehealthmd.com/library/skincancer/SC_sym...

Yeah, but skin cancer under the hair is pretty unlikely, and he hasn't mentioned any 'key' words. So he may as well get a decent nights sleep. He can go get it checked tomorrow.grumbledoak said:
