dental implant....any experience?

bugger and dammit. thought id cracked on my porcelain crowns bt have in fact snapped the entire tooth in half (vertically). Dentists basically said 'your option is an implant' (cos i dont want a denture)

Seems a)bd expensive and b) like it would take AGES.

So...anyone had one? how long between then extracting old tooth and finished item. how long wont i be able to eat on one side of my mouth for? looks like it could be sodding months from what ive read.

someone tell me its a great plan and afterwards you can bite through aircraft.

Sounds like a great idea. I also heard once completed you are able to bite through jumbo jets.
