Hi

Seems as I've returned to full time education at 26, laser eye surgery is off the cards

I've been recently thinking about getting contact lenses again, I wore them for 4 years but havent bothered in the last 3. cheapest seems to be about £15 a month with solutions. but i had a look and I can get lenses far cheaper just buying them online, I even recognise the brand I used to use from boots.

Getting them online though you obviously arent getting the little after care check appointments. Now given I have a prescription less then a year old, i used to wear lenses and if I have regular eye tests, is there any problem doing it this way?

I bought lenses online between 08 and earlier this year, just the convenience aspect. When I did go for an eye check the manager tut-tutted in the same way I do when people haven't flossed hehe

Damn it i was going to buy some last night but my prescription appears to be for glasses. it doesn't have the base measurement or base curve, whatever it is

its 11 months old anyway so looks like i'll have to shell out for an eye test

Go for one of the Contact lense trials. They will usually test your eyes and a months lenses for 20 quid or so
