My dad has managed to avoid the doctors for a few years,

He left the army in 1953, after his national service and this was his last medical,

he went to the docs last week, almost all of the time was spent trying to convince them who he was, can anyone beat 57 years between visits.

I just managed almost 10 years. But that's really doing well!

Oh bugger no I didn't. I just remembered a visit 5 years ago. Arse.

57 years. Impressive.

Apart from visits for injections I think I've been twice in the last 10 years.

Incredible. Now that he has been to the docs, maybe you should get them to do a full runthrough and check out what makes him so healthy.

Ha ha yes you could be right. I wonder if he's one of these 'smoked and drank all me life and it never did me no harm' chaps. I remember a lady on TV many years ago who put her remarkable health down to never having had a bath.
