Ok so I work long hours at PCs and recently have been getting weird things going on with my vision and also some light headaches when Im staring at the screen too long without a break.

Coupled with this I have been getting double vision whilst using my contacts to an extant that I can be a brain dead zombie, cant concentrate and generally feel on a different planet.

My eye sigh test was due so I figured I would burden the eye guy with all this whilst I get my check.

It turns out that my eyes are perfect but most of the issues I have been having is due to one thing...

My eyes have been getting progressively worse over the past 14 years from a -1.5 (when first got glasses) to -3.25 in both eyes for contacts and -3.00 (Left eye) -3.25 (right eye) for glasses.

so whilst talking to the eye guy he mentions that in the past year something has happened to my left eye that is causing it to heal itself and get better and is now back down to -2.00 (will wear -2.25 to make sure).

So how in the space of a year does my left eye that has near shown any improvement suddenly get 33% better???

Can any eye docs explain what is going on and if I should alter my eye test to a bit more frequent?

How old are you?
Short sightedness is caused by the lens being too fat, and the image being focussed nearer the middle of your eyeball than against the nerves at the back of it.
As you get near middle age the tightening of muscles means that some of the shortsightedness can "heal".

Same thing as folk that had decent sight becoming long sighted in their 40s.

If you're much younger then seems a bit unusual!
