Anybody else got this flu like bug? I keep getting a fever and am really phlegmy, especially first thing in the morning, but not got a snotty nose, i wake up in the morning sweating, but then minutes later i'm shivering. Its really getting on my nerves, had it for about a week, tried all sorts of tablets and medicine, but dont seem to do much good.

As far as I understand, it's just something the body fights. Taking Lemsip etc just deals with the symptoms. A doctor will tell you to go home and get rest. If you're concerned, ring 08454647 (NHS Direct) and just give them the symptoms to see what they recommend.

Yep, had it bad last week, and still don't feel great now. Stomach was a bit off too, but that may have been because of the Lemsips. A couple of people in work have it too.

Yeah, i lost my appetite completely, reckon i lost about 5 or 6lbs over a week. Its weird, also was getting a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders when i was in bed.

I've not been right since I got back from a break about 2 months ago - I have a cold which seems to keep mutating into something else, going from runny nose, to bad throat, ear ache, then back again. 2 friggin months!

Weird, I've had the achy neck and back as well. I've also had nauseating headaches too. It's almost like flu, sinusitis, and a cold rolled into one.

I thought there were none. The stuff you can take only works on the symptoms to make you feel more comfy.

Do you have a woman handy?

I've got it as well and it's bloody horrible, dramatic temperature changes, sneezing, running nose, serious aching all over chesty cough.
