Who has one, or has had a shot of one?

Basically they're hand held gyroscopes, and advertised as helping sports fitness, carpal tunnel sufferers, etc. I doubt they do anything like that, but they're amazing little gadgets/toys.

The gyroscope is blazingly fast, and I think it can be spun up to 20,000rpm. When you have it in your hand, you really feel the torque as it kicks and pushes against you. It makes a great noise and is one of those things your mates will want to pick up and play with anytime they're round.

I've had mine for a year or so, and just found it again there. I've been playing with it all afternoon and been reminded of how much fun they are!

Their webpage is here http://www.powerballs.com/

I bought one of these. 2 attemps to get it going properly was all it took. I put it down after a few more go's and have'nt picked it up since as it felt like I had wkers cramp shortly after use.

No different there then...

I've used them to exercise as I was getting severe forearm pump when racing supermoto. Didn't bother with the how fast can I make it spin thing.

Oh damn, just spent 10 minutes of my life laughing like a baby watching the video and reading the comments.

That's pure genius.

I got one of these to help my grip, wrist and forearm strength for rock climbing and can honestly say that they're brilliant. They're the best tool for it imo.

I got brought a cheaper toy version for christmas last year since I like silly gadgets or mess about things like this and I have to say it was good fun but it wore off eventually. It now just sits in a drawer.
