As title really. I'm 1 week and 2 days into recovery for 2 broken bones in my right foot.

Im bored already! The cast makes sleep a nightmare but its now stopped my running club and using my bike,

So when i eventually get my cast off, what exercises should i do to strengthen my right foot and leg?

Is there anything i can do the now for exercising apart from hobbling up and down the garden and hopping about when i cant be arsed to use my crutches hehe

Need something to take my mind off being bored and being quite useless for a few weeks.

I was annoying my uncle on holiday when I was 12 so he told me to go and jump off the wall, I did and came down with my foot pointing to the floor which was promptly followed by my arse hitting my heel.

It took six months and a few operations before I could walk on it again, I never had a cast because of the swelling but I did have to do a lot of swimming after about three months.

I broke my heel but wasn't put in a cast because of the swelling.

I had months of daily physio to keep the joints and ligaments moving whilst the break healed and then gentle walking and swimming once I could tolerate bearing some weight on it.

10 years on, it's still nothing but hassle and just waiting for xrays to come back.

Broke my toe a few months ago.

They say 6-8 weeks for a normal break. Unfortunately the best thing you can do is rest it. Very frustrating.
