When your GP moves premises - responsibilities.
Discussion
My GP has moved premises 3 times in approx 7 years and is about to move again.
For the last 10 years I have had to go for check-ups at a London hospital - I've just received a copy of the results that had been sent to my GP. This is the first time I've been cc'd about it and the original letter to him has been sent to the now defunct surgery that he left 7 years ago. Presumably over the last 7 years, all the hospitals letters to my GP with the results of my check-ups have also gone to this address.
Can anyone tell me whose responsibility it is to let hospitals know that the GP's practice has moved to new premises? I would have thought, and did, that it was the GPs or the practice manager... rather than mine.

My Doctors have recentley moved whilst the practice is being re-furbed, since then I've had to have three scans at hospital on separate occasions and have had no problems what so ever with regards to information being sent to the right place.
I'd say someone at the practice isn't doing there job properly or theres been a 'clerical error' at some point, either way it isn't your responsibilty, get on the phone and have a few choice words with some one at the practice.
