I have a Pro Form 695 X trainer machine which is only about 2yrs old but unfortuneately out of warranty. To cut a long story short it works on batteries or mains power, the other day I tried to plug a adaptor into it to see which head fitted but unfortuneately not being electrically minded,it was too powerful ie 20v instead of 6v.

As you can imagine it fried the PCB console,I phoned the Icon help line and it was recommended that a new Console be bought and that should sort out the problem as the engineer said he didnt think it would have gone to the motor as the PCB usually goes first.

So,paid the £94.00 for a new one which come this morning, but it works but doesnt change the resistance on the rear fly wheel it doesnt make the whirring noise it used to when changing settings from one to another,so,can anyone suggest might have gone wrong,is it the motor or could the internal wiring have been melted.

I know I am stupid and all that but can anyone help try to solve before it costs a fortune, sorry for the long winded post.
