Anyone got any good tips to prevent blisters? Been getting them for years when i play football, usually around the ball of the foot. Tried a few things like 2 pairs of socks, Vaseling, inner soles but no matter what i usually get one on each foot about the size of a 20p. I make sure i buy boots that fit properly and always get my feet measured when buying them.

thanks in advance...

Play more often? Then you'll develop callouses.

Surgical spirits on your feet to toughen them up.

shirley the blisters would never heal and you'd develop callouses as you never go more than two days without playing? (assuming something like tues/thurs/sun)

are you sure your not moisturising like a gheyer? wink

if you're getting blisters then they're obviously rubbing you, if they're moving about like this then surely they're not tight enough?

Sticking plaster stuck directly to the blister.
Not the plaster with the cushiony bit but *just* the sticky bit.

I used to get blisters on my heel from running no matter how well my trainers fitted.
One day I just tried a bit of plaster stuck on and it worked a treat - no friction as the offending blister has nothing to rub/move against.
