I've just got my first pair of varifocals after several years of just wearing specs for close work (when I remembered to wear them, that is).

Please, can someone tell me when the hell I'll stop feeling sick!?
They're fking awful at the moment and I want to take them off a put them in the bin, but I've only had them on for a couple of hours so I'm hoping things will get better?

Thanks.

I recall that feeling very well from when I first started wearing them.

To be honest I don't recall exactly how long, but it was only a day or so. I found it was stairs and kerbs that were very strange. You'll be fine and they are very easy to use in the longer term.

Stick with it, the feeling only lasts a couple of days, and there is a whole new world you can see ALL the time once you get used to them

My prescription is only +1 and +.50.
My vision in my right eye is blurry but doesn't affect me day to day unless I'm reading or doing computer work.

To be honest I find it quite bizarre that I need varifocals as I don't really need to wear them all the time.
As I don't need to wear them constantly, I feel I'll never quite get used to them!
