I was crouched down on the marble floor this morning, barefoot, assembling some flat pack nightmare cupboard, and after a while I noticed my right toe was sort of numb and had that pins and needles sort of feeling.
Thst was 12 hours ago, and it is still like it. What can it be; leprosy, diabetes, mini stroke.....
yikes

There's no chance to 'just pop down the GP', as we're in the Philippines now, and the GP here would undoubtedly give me antibiotics, or send me for a CAT scan. Or both.

You've probably pinched a nerve. Not much you can do about it but wait until feeling comes back properly.

This is bad news. It could be tropical toe! A very serious condition (a bit worse than good aids. Not as bad as bad aids). However it can be fatal if not treated properly. The best treatment would be have a lady friend (stigmund knows a few), use her mouth to make your toes curl.

wink

I'll ask the wife, though I do occasionally frequent establishments that might offer such services....

could be, gout, diabetes, pinched nerve, inflamed bone, a bunion, Peripheral Neuropathy or Cervical Spondylosis according to the internet. The page also says you should go to the docs asap.

that reminds me of the old joke about the chap who frequents certain establishments and short of cash one day the said 'lady' only allows him to diddle her with his big toe. Several days later it's all full of puss and inflamed and off he hops to the quack who says he's got VD on his big toe. "That's amazing!" says chap.. "it must be one of the wierdest cases you've ever seen". "Not really" replies said doc, "We had a woman in here earlier on with Athlete's Fanny"...

Don't they always. hehe Itchy elbow: see your GO. Runny nose: see your GP. Sore bum: Go see your GP.

Flu like symptoms, chronic aches and pains, fainting spells and high temperatures. Rashes and sores. DON'T see your doc, its just Swine Flu.... hehe
