He used to be in the British Diving team which no doubt played a big part in it!

The guy's down the gym everyday and has a personal trainer. I read it in mens health magazine.

Also doesn't have to fit training in around a fulltime job.

Also he's about 5ft 8 so all his muscle is compacted down, making him look bigger. Maybe.

From what I recall from an article in Mens Health, he just goes to a gym that focusses on brutal training not show boating, fairly similar to the place that did the training for the cast of 300.

They dont have a smith machine in white, silver or black to go with one's clothing, but they have a rope you can climb to the top of and another one you can sprint-drag a truck tyre with etc.

There's a fine line here before you just go utterly gay, but he certainly has my respect and admiration...

You could ask the same of Jake Gyllenhaal. Guy went from skinny to ripped for his new movie role in I think pretty quick time. Statham is insane though

If you've got the willpower, anybody can look like that. And £10m a year would, I expect, help out on the willpower front.

He looks to be the same slim build in both of those pictures? Certainly not ripped.

Daniel Craig also went from a fairly normal physique to a rather more impressive one for his Bond role.

Tbh I can't understand how anyone in films isn't ripped! Millions in the bank, the best gym, trainer, food and the motivation that millions will see your body.

There are plenty of examples of Joe bloggs (John stone) getting in shape on a budget....walk in the park for an ex diver with lots of time and money.

Don't forget make-up is used extensively to enhance muscularity.

I can imagine his work outs;

"That's it Mr Statham four more reps"
"I went out with Kelly Brook"
"Right...keep going nearly there"
"I went out with Kelly Brook"
"Greeeat...Now for a cool down"
"I went out with Kelly Brook"

hehe

I hear his got webbed toes. yes
