Best running playlists?
Discussion
I'm sure a topic has been done before, but I can't find it with PH search or google, so hey-ho:
Started running last week and have been shocked and perversely delighted to find that 80's cheese like the Rocky soundtrack seems to trump everything else I have. What this says about my music collection I'm not sure, but what do you guys generally play on big runs? I'm afraid my newfound enthusiasm might atrophy when I get sick of No Easy Way Out and Survivor.

We used to play things like Rocky, Eye of the Tiger, We Are the Champions etc in the bus on the way to races. Not sure if it helped but it was entertaining.
There have been a couple of running CDs released recently. Not sure if they are any good either. I tend to have whatever song I last heard just repeating in my head when I'm out running. Can get quite tedious on long runs.

You have to like dancy music, but Podrunner does some good stuff.

FIRST DAY TO 5K - LEVEL 1
Series mixed by DJ Beatsmith
If you've never run before, or are returning to running after a long hiatus, this series, following the popular Couch to 5K template, is designed to take you from your first day to a full 5K (3.2-mile) run in just 9 weeks (plus a bonus "graduation mix").

Depends what you like. I absolutely detest dance ste with a passion, so there's no way I'd be listening to gatecrashers. I tend to put on the 'top rated' playlist and set it to shuffle - I can always skip a track if it's not appropriate.
TV on the Radio - Wolf Like Me has a fantastic rhythym for running too though....
