can she not visit someone abroad for a few weeks?

then send in the heavies...

how can they be allowed to claim a wrongful abuse and get away with it?

We thought of that but she's 16 so an adult in the law. Her uncles are reasonably capable . . . but the police will always side with anybody claiming abuse . . . regardless of the truth. police have to investigate and when talking to her, she says no . . . but the damage is done, people think no smoke without fire etc.

It's incredible, just terrorises the family.

My gf is likely to have a few months off between jobs shortly so she might take her on holiday for a few weeks.
fk, this all sounds really heavy.

If your GF can get her on holiday for two weeks she may be able to undo some of the brainwashing.

Have a good look into brainwashing techniques yourself, you'll find they revolve around sleep deprivation, nutrition deprivation and moral corruption. (like forcing a man to rape someone) These are pretty harsh tools and they are effective on somebody that is vulnerable. Two weeks away from these inputs where she is encouraged to make decisions for herself, like where to eat ths evening, whether to go to the beach or a tour of a castle. These things will be totally different to how she's been treated until now and should have a profound effect on her psyche. Only with her own confidence back will she be able to see that something odd has been going on.

All the best of luck.
