I have a wart that has appeared on my thumb. What over the counter wart treatment works?
Cheers.

Either a home freeze kit such as wartner for a quicker action or bazuka etc which you have to put on daily.

The freeze kits are the best. Don't fear the pain. It's not bad and fully worth it.

A sterilised stanley knife blade. yes

It works for moles too. Just be aware that they do bleed. A lot.

Soothing violin music, followed by a very sudden and loud guitar solo.

I had to use Wartner then Bazooka, but they got there in the end. Don't bother with the normal strength Bazooka either, there is a stronger one for a reason.

A football boot.

Was the only thing that removed the one on my shin. Still got the scar thirty years later.

But don't let it burn the healthy skin, a bit of vaseline does the trick

Cheers, I'll give Wartner a try. Years ago I had one frozen off by a doctor and that did the trick.

I'm going tell you what the doctor told my partner....

Gaffa tape.
Yes that silver tape haha. All you have to do is put some on the affected area (warts and varruccas) cover with a plaster and leave on. My partner replaces his most days. For varruccas he was told to rub with a file after soaking it in warm water for 10 mins then repeat the tape.
Then every now and again put bazucca on for a few days then go back to the tape
His varrucca was quite large (covered most of the part beneath his toes) now its smaller than half what it was. And while it's taking abit longer the wart is beginning to go too

Give it a try, give it a few weeks and see if you get a result

I did something similar with a horrendous veruca when I was a kid. Smothered it in bazooka then taped it up to buggery and left it to rot in its own juices for 2 weeks. Killed the bugger where doctors trying to freeze it etc had all failed miserably.

Had a couple of small warts on my hands a few years back, found colouring them in with rollerball pen killed them. Something to do with salicilic (sp?) acid in the ink apparently.

This acid stuff is pretty potent.. attempted application in dark, whilst drunk. took out a decent chunk of healthy skin it dropped on!

I tried all sorts on mine, cutting them out, bazooka etc, nothing worked, in the end they just cleared up and had nothing since. I believe eventually you're immune system will find a way to fight it, then touch wood it won't ever come back.
