Hi all

I seem to lately be suffering terribly in the hot weather. Even a short walk leaves me pouring with sweat yet I don't feel tired or short of breath. My diet is ok and I rarely drink and don't smoke. I've recently started cycling to work (14mile round trip) and just seem to be constantly sweaty. I do realise its very hot, but even in winter I don't feel the cold. I'm 24 not overweight, and have a BMI of 24% but not sure on the fat to muscle ratio there. Any help would be appreciated

Before you get people replying

"Are you a rapist?"

"Are you a dyslexic on Countdown?"

Have a read of this.

Not uncommon.

You wouldn't be wasting a GP's time if you went to see one as there can be (admittedly rare) scarier causes which need to be ruled out.

I don't think it's anything to worry about in this heat. I have been suffering too. Over the weekend I was pouring mowing the lawn and clamy just sitting still. No idea what My BMI is now but 14% BF and 46% muscle according to the scales. I think I'm just a sweater. I am one of the embaressed few at the gym who regularly drip. When I used to cycle more I found it annoying as on a hot day I needed to take on alot of fluid not just water but something with hydration stuff in or I would sweat out all the minerals and get headaches. I think some people either run hotter or the thermostat is set a bit lower. To finish it off I'm ginger so the sun is not my friend in general.

Might be worthwhile looking at your diet. I find really spicy food makes me sweat more than normal hours after I've forgotten I've eaten it.

I used to suffer awfully. Lost three stone and the problem went.
