So for the last few weeks I've had this small lump, about the size of a ballpoint pen nib.

It's not painful, and sometimes I can use my finger nail to pop it and a clear gel comes out of it... however it comes back almost within an hour with the same thing...

Any ideas?

Hi There,

Sounds like it could be a blocked minor salivary gland if its in the roof of your mouth. Sometimes happens if you burn it there or you are a smoker.

Go and see your dentist not your doctor. If you ever have anything like this dentists are normally better placed to give a diagnosis there and then.

i quite often get this, and usually after a pop they go. However recently I had one like yours that I would pop and it would come back, over and over. It took several weeks, maybe even months, but it did eventually go. If it pops, its nothing to worry about i reckon!
