You had a numb finger, kind of like pins and needles, for over 24 hours?
After the weekly trip to Sainsburys I couldn't be bothered with multiple trips to and from the car so decided to take the whole lot in one go. It's a bit of a walk and involves a couple of flights of stairs and by the time I got to the front door my middle finger on one hand was feling a bit funny. It turns out I had 3x2l bottles in a bag that was only being held by the tip of the finger. I thought it would be fine but over a day later it still has no feling.
Any ideas what I might have done?

Lets hope it only lasts a few days then, thought I might have done some nerve damage that could take ages to fix.
You've done some nerve damage, however if you've got pins and needles then its unlikely to take long to heal. It's when there's no feeling that it can take weeks.
Do come back once it's recovered as I have an interest in recovery times.

I'm off to get more shopping tonight so I'll try not to do the same again

Well my 'finger aids' has finally gone, it was some point yesterday that I noticed it felt normal again so it lasted nearly a week.
re you using "finger aids". So... how do you know the numbness hasn't moved elsewhere? I mean... would you know?
