And I dont know why???

I dont have an alarm that goes off that early there is no neighbour that leaves at that time, I dont drink usually on a week night, I dont eat after about 8pm, I dont stay up excessively late and I do regular exercise.

I have no stress at work as Im ahead of the game on all my projects by quite some time, yet I wake up with in a minute or 2 of 4:25am every morning, including weekends.

Its not the OH waking me up as she has been out of the country for a while on a visit home and it didnt start when she left it was a week to 10 days later.

Its driving me crazy, even when I have been on the beers and staggered to bed on a weekend I will wake up in a drunken haze and then not really sleep again.

Anyone else get this and how the fk do you get rid of it, I want to go back to sleeping in till my alarm at 6:45am and not like at the moment going into work and necking several coffees to just wake up.

same problem but I rise about 5.15... it's about 6.15 in the winter... doesn';t matter what time I go to bed, pissed or sober... I've tried not drinking, no caffeine for days, sleeping tablets don't even help just make me more blurry when I wake up. What time do you go to sleep? Interested to see if anyone has ideas - the doctors don't!!!

same here, although its something to do with an 8 month old daughter...

I reckon she gets woken by the birds / sunrise as she's in a North Easterly facing room

Just to rule out the obvious.........does this happen if you are sleeping at a hotel or away from your house? If there is something local to your area that is waking you up, you may not know about it as it happens when you are asleep!

This happens to me if I go to bed too early, I can be tired as anything but I'll wake up in the middle of the night. I put it down to just getting old, it seems the body just doesn't like sleeping as much as you get older.

Might just be your body having a funny month.

Try going to bed 2 hours earlier and take advantage of the peace and quiet in the morning for a bit...

The more you worry about it, the more likely it will become a bigger problem!

5.10am for me that last few days, bloody annoying as my alarm goes off an hour later, so I dont get back to sleep properly and lose an hours sleep.

Nope the same thing happen when I was away the weekend just gone... I was in Finland, but instead of 4:25am, it was 6:25am, it seems my body takes into account the time difference too.

Birds not heard tweeting and the curtains are closed to let as little light in as possible... birds usually start at 3am round near me so I doubt its them.

I dont worry about it as I was a chronic insomniac and as such waking up 2 hours early is not anywhere near as bad as not sleeping for days on end... Its not like Im waking up for a pee either, its just a wake up check the time as wondering why I wake up and see that is 4:25 frown

Try some black-out curtains - I find I wake when it gets light, might read mag or jump oh PH for 15mins or so then I feel tired again and tend to fall asleep again until the alarm goes off.

Don't do too much exercise,it can interfere with your sleep patterns : one of the first signs of overtraining.

Alternately it could be some selfish tt with a big bore exhaust?

Happens at 5.20 most mornings. Now I wear earplugs but can still hear him.

Not being funny, but this sort of sleep disturbance is often seen as a sympton of depression. You mention being on top of work, but is there anything else going on in the background that you might not have registered the effects of?
