If this makes no sense I apologise, been up for 30 hours solid now and counting while we attempt to move house. Just wondered how long PHers have been without sleep for in one go? And for how long is it possible to carry on without sleep and staying awake by means of espresso and Red Bull?

50 something hours, aided by extreme quantities of things to do and places to go (as in 600 mile drives), and endless Monster drinks that literally do turn your piss luminous. Gumball, last year.

Hmm, I've always wanted to do the Gumball, although the many people in Ferraris, Astons, Lambos etc probably wouldn't appreciate a bog standard 1.2 Fiat Panda turning up to the party.
Monster, now there's a horrid energy drink, and recently I've gone off Red Bull, no idea why but it makes me feel ill these days, plus a can has more than doubled in price since I first started drinking the stuff. I'll usually go for Relentless seeing as its in big cans, but my favourite is Irn Bru 32, which I couldn't find anywhere in England, but of course now I'm in Aberdeen its much easier to find. And work has just started selling Mountain Dew, which is weaker in comparison (18mg/100ml caffeine, 500ml bottle) but it tastes like a regular bottle of pop and not the rats piss soaked dentist chair that is Red Bull.

you think red bull is bad .. go into a Tesco's store and buy 'EMERGE' (i think thats what it is called..) - same ingredients almost entirely as red bull - costs 25p per can, but tastes a little odd..

most i've been up is 29 hrs (lightweight)

About 2 1/2 days once on a Diving vessel in the North Sea. Thought I could run the job all the way through to the end. In the late stages I was having real trouble making even the simplest decisions or phone calls and had to stop the job so that I could get my head down, but the 'rub' is that after so long awake it's very hard to actually get to sleep.

It's not healthy.

When I did my survive/escape/resist course a couple of years ago, we went pretty much without sleep or food for about 5-6 days.

Horrendous.

3 days and nights, driving an old camper van from the 'heel' of Italy to Brighton. The walls were moving by the end of it. Not nice.

Mr McNab?

OP, I've done about 36 hours or so - I was like a Zombie at the end of it though.

I've gone 24 hours or so without sleep a couple of times and that was bad enough. Wouldn't want to go much more than that.

It's not all that.

About 4 days. After a while you feel utterly sick and totally incapable of controlling your body temperature. Weird and it took a few days to recover. I certainly would not want to do it again.

Umm..

Wake up: Friday 7am
Work: 8am - 6pm
Work: 7pm - 5am
Travel: Saturday 6 - 7am
Work: 8am - 5pm
Work: 7pm - 4am
Sleep: Sunday 5am

That was my best.. Or worst, time ever.

Ditto, but mine was a bit shorter - 5 days / 4 nights. Think I did sleep on night 3 for about 1 hour but was woken by some chap who wanted to know something and very kindly helped me remember what he wanted to know by various methods I'd rather not recall!

About the same here, sleep deprivation exercise on Sennybridge training area. Just over a week with no sleep.
A real fker that was. You really get pissed off with the littlest things towards the end of the week.

Was thinking about going for 'selection' next year and I can't imagine how hard that's going to be.

Two weeks, with just a few minutes sleep some nights - if I was lucky.

Ended up in hospital.

Diagnosed with cancer within hours of admission.
